Explore the healing arts, somatic movement, yoga and meditation.
Drawing inspiration from the natural world, Chinese Medicine, Buddhist mindfulness, and illuminating poetry and readings, this weekend will offer a yoga and meditation practice that is both dynamic and restorative with an emphasis on the individual needs of students. This retreat is for everyone – all levels welcome.
Beyond the daily practices and delicious food, we’ll also have plenty of time to relax and rest.
This retreat is special because, in addition to our daily practices and time for socializing, participants will also be guided in one day of social silence and digital detox during the retreat.
Silent retreat offers a unique and precious opportunity to slow down and simplify, gather the mind, and cultivate an internal focus. If this practice is new to you, no problem. More Information
Stunning Stowel Lake Farm on Salt Spring Island BC is a short ferry from Vancouver BC or Victoria BC. This location offers a beautiful and supportive setting for retreat. Stowel lake is a full time retreat center and organic farm set amid acres of meadows, forest, and organic gardens.
Jennifer Raye will be offering multiple yoga, meditation, and workshop sessions daily. Practices are suitable for all students and levels. Classes are restorative, dynamic, and therapeutic, and will emphasize ease, strength, and mindful awareness.
At this specific retreat, we will also be observing one day of social silence and digital detox during the retreat. That day Jennifer will guide you through your regular classes with a special emphasis on deepening meditative awareness.
Our organic gourmet meals will be prepared by our private chef and her diverse collection of talented help. Meals are always a highlight of the retreat! The farm produces organic food year-round and collaborates directly with farmers which means that food served during retreats is truly ‘farm to table.’ Food will be plentiful, healthy, and beautiful. All dietary limitations can be accommodated. Please email us after registration if you have restrictions.
Light-filled warm handcrafted buildings provide a supportive setting for retreat. There is plenty of space to curl up with a book by the woodstove, or practice in the cherrywood practice room with panoramic views of the farm.
We can arrange a complimentary shuttle to get to and from the farm and the Fulford ferry terminal if arriving by ferry without a vehicle.
Jennifer will also have private sessions available for acupuncture or herbal/nutrition consultation.
Beyond the scheduled yoga and meditation classes attendees are encouraged to relax in the beautiful common spaces, explore the gorgeous property and gardens, and enjoy the optional activities, tours, and the practice room.

Licensed Chinese Medicine Practitioner & Mindful Yoga and Meditation Teacher
As a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, an experienced E-RYT500 yoga and meditation teacher, and a published mindfulness author, Jennifer Raye offers practices that are integrative, therapeutic in nature, and have a strong focus on the individual needs of students.
With over 17 years in holistic health, her classes are influenced by an in-depth and long-term study of anatomy, bodywork, therapeutic movement, Buddhist contemplative practices, Chinese Medicine, and Ayurveda. Her offerings weave the physical yoga postures with spiritual, philosophical, energetic, and anatomical teachings. Her intention is to offer a practice that encourages depth, self-reflection, and holistic well-being. Full Bio

Registration:
The total cost of the retreat is $400 CAD for the retreat program (all classes & workshops) plus the accommodation & meal package below. Prices are per person.
Please use the payment button below (or etransfer support@jenniferraye.com) to hold your spot and settle your $250CAD non-refundable deposit. This deposit will be deducted from your total amount due.
All rooms are very cozy and clean with all amenities including comfortable duvets, heat, power, and towels. If you’d like to share a room with someone specific please email us and we’ll place you in the same room.
Prices include accommodation tax 8%, and MRDT Tourism tax 2%.
5% GST is not included in prices and will be added to the total. Prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD).
