blog post anne cushman master teacher interview

(NOTE – this post was initially published in 2014 and was re-posted and updated in January 2018 )

Today I have the pleasure of interviewing Anne Cushman. Anne is an accomplished author and Buddhist mindfulness and yoga teacher. Anne is the director of the Mindfulness Yoga and Meditation Training at Spirit Rock Meditation Center and is a former editor at Yoga Journal and Tricycle. Her personal essays have been published in the New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, O: The Oprah Magazine, and the Shambhala Sun.

Most recently, Anne published Moving into Meditation: A 12-Week Mindfulness Program for Yoga Practitioners, a book that helps yogis integrate mindfulness into their yoga asana practice.

In our interview, Anne speaks about how we can soothe the nervous system and decrease stress through our yoga and meditation practice. Please enjoy the following interview, where we explore how to use our mindfulness practice to find more peace in our lives.
