I'm Jennifer Raye.

We all have inherent wisdom and a powerful capacity for healing within.

My work is intended to help you access this wisdom and vitality, develop true self care, connect to the healing medicine of movement and the natural world, and expand your happiness.

I want to help you live a fulfilling and healthy life, both mentally and physically.

Jennifer offers private sessions (in-person or online), workshops, teacher training, and retreats; locally, abroad and through her online programs.

At a young age, Jennifer healed her emotional health struggles through natural medicine, mindfulness, and movement. Decades later, she’s dedicated to sharing these practices and remedies with others.

As a licensed Traditional Chinese Medicine herbalist, acupuncturist, and holistic nutritionist, Jennifer practices an integrative and holistic form of medicine. Learn about private sessions here.

Jennifer has her doctorate of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a licensed practitioner of Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture and Cupping (R.TCMP and R.Ac). This degree was a five year full time program comprised of western medical sciences, diagnostic skills and clinical training. Areas of study included: gynaecology, internal medicine, chronic and stress related illness, digestive disorders, dermatology, paediatrics, orthopaedics and sports medicine. She also participated in an internship at Liaoning University Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shen Yang, China.

Jennifer has studied and practiced western phytotherapy (herbology), cleansing and detoxification, and Holistic Nutrition for almost two decades. She had the honour of studying holistic nutrition with Paul Pitchford (author of "Healing with Whole Foods") and functional medicine with The Institute for Functional Medicine, along with western herbal medicine study and mentorship with a master herbalist and aromatherapist.

As an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher, the movement she teaches is mindful, therapeutic, and an alignment based practice steeped in the wisdom teachings of the Buddha dharma, and a deep respect for the beauty and magic of the natural world. Learn about upcoming classes here.

Jennifer is an experienced yoga teacher qualified to lead teacher trainings, and is a senior student and assistant to Tias and Surya Little of Prajna Yoga.

Influenced and supported by over 15 years of personal practice, and time on silent retreat, her offerings reflect her extensive and committed study of anatomy, yoga therapy, yin yoga, alignment, Buddhist contemplative practices, and Ayurveda.

Beyond her foundational yoga training, Jennifer is certified through several advanced multi-year yoga and mindfulness teacher trainings. She is a graduate of Spirit Rock’s 18 month Mindful Yoga and Meditation Teacher Training, Insight Yoga Institute’s 2 year Teacher Training, and Tias Little’s 500 hr. Prajna Yoga Teacher Training. She’s particularly grateful to have taught alongside her Buddhist teachers Thanissara and Kittisaro during their annual month long silent retreat and for her time volunteering in rural Nepal with the Acupuncture Relief Project (watch the documentary).

She’s the creator of a number of online programs, including Mindful Yin Yoga Online, and Chinese Medicine for Yoga Online.

Jennifer lives on beautiful Vancouver Island, BC with her husband where she runs her private medical practice.
