Holistic Medicine and Mindful Movement

with Jennifer Raye

Teacher || Author || Partner in Health

Welcome. I know how overwhelming the world of health and wellness can be. Concerns like stress, anxiety, pain, digestive troubles, low energy, and hormonal issues can be exhausting. Conventional biomedicine is essential for some conditions and circumstances, but it’s not usually helpful for chronic conditions or getting to the root cause (especially if you want to minimize pharmaceuticals or surgery).

As a medical provider, author, educator, and movement teacher, I aim to share an integrative, holistic, and natural approach – everything from nutrition to herbal medicine to mindfulness and movement practices that really work. You deserve real solutions; to get there, we must care for the entire system.

I draw insights from eighteen years in holistic health, including my formal study and clinical practice of Chinese Medicine – I have a postgraduate doctorate with professional licensure in acupuncture and herbal medicine, along with many thousands of hours of training and professional certifications in complementary disciplines, including Ayurveda, holistic nutrition and functional medicine. As a long-time teacher and student of yoga, somatic studies, therapeutic movement, and Buddhist and contemplative arts, I also offer movement and mindfulness practices of presence and care that address the body, mind, and spirit.

At the heart of my work is a deep reverence for the natural world – fostering a connection to our beautiful planet is a big motivating force behind my work. I believe holistic medicine and mindfulness can support a reciprocal relationship with and stewardship of the earth. The Earth-based traditions and embodiment practices I offer can help us feel and understand our bodies and psyches as intimately bound to and deeply interconnected with the planet and natural cycles. I also believe that working with our pain and disconnection helps us be more available to act compassionately on behalf of our troubled world.

Whether you’re looking for solutions to your health concerns, or you’re a yoga teacher or health practitioner looking for movement, mindfulness, and medicine inspiration and training – I’ve got you covered.

You can trust your body and mind and find simple, fun, and powerful ways to feel strong and healthy.
My work is intended to help you access your innate capacity for healing and presence within.

If you’re ready to bolster your health, feel at home in your body and mind, or address your exhaustion, gut issues, sleepless nights, anxiety, or inflammation, you’ve come to the right place. I aim to offer health care (and self-care) that goes way beyond disease management. There’s a reason you’re here. Let’s begin creating a fulfilling and healthy life, both mentally and physically today.
